American College of Osteopathic Surgeons - First Place Poster
Our poster, Review of A Proposed Adjunct Treatment of Postoperative Arthrofibrosis in Total Knee Arthroplasty, was presented at the ACOS 2022 Annual Clinical Assembly. The poster was awarded first place in the plastic surgery division for our theory on the mechanism behind leukotriene receptor antagonist use in capsular contracture and how this mechanism could be applied to preventing/treating arthrofibrosis in TKA as well as preventing ischemic injury to free flaps.
Indianapolis Medical Society Foundation Scholarship
The Indianapolis Medical Society Foundation awarded me a $1500 scholarship for an essay on organized medicine. The essay touched on how organized medicine allows physicians, residents, medical students, and medical researchers to encourage and support each other while giving patients an educated, evidence-based voice. COVID-19 Community Recovery Grant
This is a grant awarded by the Marion County Public Health Department to local non-profit organizations showing a dedication to combating COVID-19 in underserved populations. I was awarded $5000 after writing a successful grant proposal on behalf of my non-profit to continue serving the homeless population of Indianapolis. See the featured page for more details.
American College of Osteopathic Surgeons – Community Service Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a medical student who exemplifies local and/or national community service activities and demonstrates a commitment to providing medical care to the underserved.
Compassionate Care Community Scholar Award
I came up with and proposed a Street Medicine program that addresses the local health disparity that is homelessness, access to quality healthcare, and health education. Marian University gives this award to a medical student or group of students and provides funding and resources to carry out their project.
MU-COM Academic All-Star Runner-Up
This recognition is awarded to nominated students that demonstrate excitement and interest in the classroom, support scholarly activities and experience, and desire to advance their learning and the learning of others.
NYAS COVID-19 Syndromic Surveillance Challenge Finalist
This was an international research challenge hosted by the New York Academy of Sciences. My team was tasked with developing a syndromic surveillance model to prevent current and future pandemics with a focus on innovation, sustainability, global applicability, and feasibility. Our project was voted a top-five finalist by a panel of distinguished judges. We presented our project nationally which also led to two publications.

Next-Generation Pharmacist Award - Rising Star Nomination
This nomination is awarded to a pharmacist practicing five years or less, who is defining the future standard of pharmacy practice by his or her professional practice, and/or by advocacy in the pharmacy industry. I was fortunate to be nominated by my team of pharmacists and technicians.
Student Pharmacist Compounding Award
Awarded to a student pharmacist who exemplifies a passion for, and understanding of compounding specialty medications and the chemistry of developing new drug formulas.
Going for the GOLD Medication Adherence Competition, Third Place
My team prepared and presented a novel idea to improve medication adherence in the general population. Our project was presented to practicing community and hospital pharmacists, Butler COPHS faculty and staff, Butler COPHS students, and non-healthcare related members of the community.
National Student Pharmacist Compounding Competition
I was a member of the Butler University medication compounding team. We traveled to the University of Florida and competed in the national competition.

I was a member of the winning team of the compounding competition at Butler University twice. Winners moved on to compete at a national level.
Indiana Academic Honors Scholarship
Sigma Nu Honors Scholarship
I was awarded this selective, merit-based scholarship for selected students in good standing with Sigma Nu fraternity who exhibiting leadership qualities through extracurricular involvement and leadership positions held.
